NON-SURGICAL
Hair Mesotherapy
In shortHair mesotherapy is a course of micro-injections into the scalp, about a millimetre deep, carrying vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It is not surgery and it is not an alternative to a transplant. It supports hair you still have. Where the follicle is gone, it does nothing — and any page telling you otherwise is describing something mesotherapy cannot do.

The honest limit
What mesotherapy can and cannot do
This is the first thing to settle, because it is the point on which this treatment is most often oversold — including, until recently, on this page.
It can
- Support follicles that are still present but weakened
- Be used alongside a transplant, before and after
- Form part of a plan while a cause is being established
- Be repeated as a course rather than a single event
It cannot
- Grow hair where the follicle is gone
- Replace a hair transplant in a bald area
- Stop genetic pattern loss on its own
- Produce a result that a photograph can promise you
The method
How the treatment is given
The mixture is injected into the scalp at a depth of roughly one millimetre — into the layer where the follicles sit, rather than into the deeper tissue. Delivery is by fine needle or by a mesotherapy gun, which places a measured dose at a consistent depth across the area being treated.
A session is short. It is a course rather than a single treatment: how many sessions, at what interval, is decided after the scalp has been examined, because it depends on what is actually happening there.

What is in it
The mixture, and what we are not claiming about it
The preparations used are combinations of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Which preparation is appropriate, at what concentration and over how many sessions, is a decision for our surgeon after examining your scalp — not a decision made from a website.
An earlier version of this page stated that the products used were approved by the Ministry of Health and by the FDA. We have removed that sentence. Not because it is necessarily untrue, but because it named no product, no approval and no reference number, which makes it a claim you could not check. A regulatory approval means something only when you can look it up.
Free assessment
Is this the right treatment for your scalp?
Mesotherapy suits some situations and is beside the point in others, and the difference is visible on examination rather than in a description. Send four photographs and you will receive an assessment of your donor capacity, what is realistic for your case, and an itemised written quotation.

With a transplant
Where it fits alongside surgery
Mesotherapy is frequently used around a hair transplant rather than instead of one. Before the operation it supports the existing hair in the area to be worked on; afterwards it supports both the native hair and the surrounding scalp while the transplanted grafts go through their own cycle.
One session is included in the VIP package. Whether more are useful in your case follows the assessment — and if the answer is that they would add nothing, that is what you will be told.
What it will not change
The recovery timeline after a transplant is not shortened by mesotherapy: shedding still happens in weeks 2–8, new growth still starts around months 3–4, and the final result is still at 12–18 months. Anyone presenting it as an accelerator is describing something it does not do.
The full comparison of treatments is on the treatments page; costs are on the cost page.
Frequently asked questions
Can hair mesotherapy replace a hair transplant?
No. It supports follicles that are still present. Where the follicle is gone, no injection restores it — that area needs a transplant or nothing. Any page suggesting otherwise is describing something mesotherapy cannot do.
Will it stop my hair loss?
It can support hair that is still there, but it does not on its own stop genetic pattern loss. What is realistic in your case is a clinical judgement made after your scalp has been examined.
How many sessions will I need?
It is a course rather than a single treatment, and the number and interval are set after assessment because they depend on what is happening on your scalp. One session is included in the VIP package.
Does it hurt?
The injections are shallow — about a millimetre — and anaesthesia is not usually required. Delivery by mesotherapy gun places a measured dose at a consistent depth, which most people find quicker and easier than needle by needle.
What is in the mixture?
Combinations of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Which preparation is appropriate and at what concentration is decided by the physician after examining your scalp. If a specific product matters to you, ask for its name at the assessment.
Are the products approved by the FDA?
We do not make that claim on this page, because we would have to name a product and an approval reference for it to mean anything to you. Ask for the name of the preparation at the assessment and check it for yourself.
Can I have mesotherapy after a hair transplant?
Yes, and it is commonly done — it supports the native hair and the surrounding scalp while the grafts go through their own cycle. It does not shorten the recovery timeline: shedding still occurs in weeks 2–8 and the final result is still at 12–18 months.
Is any blood taken from me?
No. Mesotherapy uses a prepared mixture of vitamins, minerals and amino acids; nothing is drawn from you for it.
